lost.
when i first moved to new york, i'd get lost.
often.
one time i got lost in the west village, but instead of getting out the map or asking around i decided to just enjoy it. wherever the hell i was was exactly where i was supposed to be. i didn't recognize any street names, and i can't even remember how i figured it all out or what i even really did. but it still stands as one of my favorite new york days to date because it was the day i learned that being lost in the city isn't such a bad thing. in fact, it's a beautiful thing. there is something peculiarly freeing about being ok with being a little lost.
and so it is now. but things are just as they should be.

thanks for this fens. i've been feeling a bit lost myself lately. you're probably right about enjoying it...much less exhausting than fighting it. good stuff.
