re: waiting
the act of waiting. it fucking sucks.
it sounds simple.
you wait at the doctor's office, you read a magazine.
you wait in line at the grocery store, you think about the things you wish you would've grabbed.
you wait on a movie to start, you sit through the previews.
you wait on a train, you listen to your ipod and people watch.
in many situations in which we wait, the thing which we are waiting for is guaranteed to come in due time. but what about when you don't know when [or if] what you're waiting for will come? what then? you distract yourself in attempt to avoid thinking about it. but at the end of the day, you inevitably ponder the thing for which you wait.
i hate waiting. but i will admit that sometimes my hands are tied.
my hands are tied.
